[hear-it.org] 10% of all Dutch think they have a hearing loss. More than 40% of those who say they have a hearing loss use hearing aids. Three out of four of these use hearing aids on both ears.

[hear-it.org] It can be hard for people with hearing loss to follow conversations in noisy places such as restaurants or at meetings even if they use hearing aids. But training your brain can help to get more out of the hearing aids, study finds.

This edition will focus on the physiology, pathology and therapies of the inner ear. Prof. Isabel Varela, coordinator of the TARGEAR project, will give a lecture about the factors involved in the progression of the presbycusis. In parallel, the 20th German Tinnitus Symposium will be held on September 8, 2018.
