MyHealthAvatar: your digital health status through an app

The EU-funded MyHealthAvatar research project launched an app that collects, and gives access to, your digital long-term health-status information

This eHealth tool is now available. The project experts recently launched an Android app on Google Play and they also created an online platform. Both are free to use but you need to create an account and agree with the terms and conditions to be able to log in. Both maintain a strict privacy policy to safeguard your personal data. Not only helps this to prevent non communicable diseases but “a personal avatar has huge implications to the society both socially and economically”, says MyHealthAvatar project coordinator Professor Feng Dong (University of Bedfordshire) in eHealth News. “It can potentially change the way we think, communicate and search for information. This is also extremely valuable for clinical decisions and offers a promising approach to acquire population data to support clinical research, leading to strengthened multidisciplinary research excellence in supporting innovative medical care.”
