We wish to share with you the Call for Applications for the CES Visiting Scholars Program 2018-2019. The CES Visiting Scholars Program offers post-doctoral social scientists and historians the opportunity to spend up to one year at Harvard for independent research on Europe or transatlantic relations. Successful candidates benefit from the Center’s programs and Harvard’s intellectually stimulating environment, additionally, they gain access to the university’s extensive library resources. Applicants range from postdoctoral fellows to senior scholars.
In addition, eligible scholars from European Union member states are encouraged to apply for the German Kennedy Memorial Fellowship. In the 2018-2019 academic year, one Kennedy Fellowship gifted by the German Government will be awarded to a non-German scholar from the European Union. The fellowship provides a stipend of $60,000 for 10 months of residential research between September and June. This fellowship is administered by CES and each application will be reviewed by the CES Steering Committee. Fellows are expected to attend a weekly Visiting Scholars seminar, where work in progress is presented to colleagues for feedback.
