There’s no downside to a healthier lifestyle, and it could be key to Alzheimer’s prevention

When you ask older people what is their greatest fear, most say that it’s getting Alzheimer’s disease. We have no drug treatments that can delay or prevent Alzheimer’s disease, and while our understanding of the underlying brain changes and the risk factors associated with development of Alzheimer’s disease is growing, we still don’t know the exact cause of the disease.

This research, conducted over the last decade and published in the peer-reviewed ‘Lancet Neurology’ journal, garnered much media attention as it was a positive news story in an otherwise bleak therapeutic landscape for such a common and devastating disease.
